Buyer Beware!

I am thinking the Cadmium pigment must be in the Shrek green. Thanks to Hunter for donating some McDonald's drinking glasses to my classroom collection of science stuff.

I am not sure how much I will post this summer; the motivation behind actually starting to blog was twofold: one, to see if I could actually do it; and two, to be able to hit the ground running in the fall with the demos of the day. And so it goes.

I'm So Bored with the USA

p
How is it that the home of Google, Apple, and Microsoft, is also the home of science students who, " significantly lag behind their peers in other countries in international test scores? " I will write more on this in a future blog, but for now, read about the NSTA survey of science teachers and the parents of their students at:http://www.nsta.org/about/pressroom.aspx?id=57403

Dear President Obama

Dear President Obama;

I would like to volunteer my services for the Educate to Innovate Program. In a nutshell, I believe the focus of science education should be hands on learning at the elementary level, demonstrations at the middle school level, and technology based science education at the high school level.

The first science I taught my daughter when she was younger was ROYGBIV. What science did you first teach your daughter?
Sincerely,
Robert R Rountree III
